The Three Passes Everest Base Camp Trek is considered the most adventurous excursion in the Everest region, perhaps in all of Nepal. The passes include Kongma La (5,555m), Cho La (5,330m) and Renjo La (5,360m). It's a challenging, technical and demanding trip, but the snowy mountains, glaciers, lakes and abundant Sherpa culture make it all worthwhile.Nepal Hiking Trek has the expertise and experience to arrange and support your adventure. We provide a fully equipped medical kit and oxygen, warm drinks, excellent assistance and all other necessities of the trip.
Starting from the Lukla airport, the trek goes through the important Sherpa settlements of Jorsale and Namche Bazaar, where you can appreciate the mountain Tibetan Buddhist culture with their monasteries and gompas. Then we explore Khumjung village and walk further to Chhukung and cross the Kongma La Pass, the highest of the three passes. From there we reach Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar. Next we cross the Cho La Pass, which is regarded as the most technical to cross, and from there we are rewarded with the spectacular beauty of Gokyo Valley and its stunning glacial lakes. Hiking up Gokyo Ri provides incredible views of Mt. Everest (8,848m) , Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,481m),Lhotse shar(8,385m) Cho Oyu (8,201m), and the glacier lakes.
Crossing the Renjo La Pass is yet another challenge, before we trek down to Lukla via Josale. The best time for this trek is during the fall and spring. We recommend that you include some extra days in your trip because flights out of Lukla can experience long delays and cancellations, even for cloud cover. I was introduced to Tara by a friend who trekked with him twice for both ABC and EBC a few years ago. Under Tara's arrangement, this time I trekked with one of his guides, Raj, for EBC & 3 passes (16 days, 4th-19th Oct, 2017). Raj is in his late 30s, strong, very experienced, helpful, and is exceedingly careful with details. It's the best trekking experience I ever had, and I have no doubt to highly recommend Nepal Hiking Trek. I will certainly continue to use their service for my next Annapurna circuit trek, hopefully next year.

Last month we successfully trekked most, if not all, of the Three Passes Everest Base Camp Trek. My friend Ron highly recommended Hari of Nepal Hiking Trek because of Ron's glowing experience during past treks with Hari. I quickly discovered why.
During our three-week trek, Hari was attentive, outgoing, personable, and patient (“Jam-Jam--Slowly! Slowly!”); his intelligence, knowledge, and years of trekking experience were so appreciated; he's a man of integrity anyone can trust; and he's an excellent communicator who keeps his promises while being polite, straightforward, and reliable.
Another important trekking guide quality--he's responsive to client needs, making every effort to meet them. Our group had extra days in Kathmandu due to no Lukla delays, so on very short notice, I requested Hari to be my guide in Lumbini, the Buddha’s birthplace. Hari promptly put together a successful two-day itinerary. Also due to his planning skill, we had time to visit Kapilavastu.
Without hesitation to any prospective trekker, I highly recommend Hari of Nepal Hiking Trek. I look forward to my next adventure with Hari and know know that we will share lots of laughs along the trail.

Hari made our trip to Nepal the best it possibly could be! He was always making sure we were well taken care of, sensitive to our needs, extremely knowledgable about the area, very safety conscious, and made us laugh along the way. From Kathmandu to trekking in the Everest region, Hari made us feel safe and welcome. It was an unforgettable experience made perfect by Hari sharing his beautiful country, culture, and making us feel like family!

Hiking in the Everest region with Hari was one of the greatest adventures of my life. We spent a month relying on his expertise and guidance and couldn't have asked for a better guide. Hari and his team went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable, well fed, happy and educated. I loved the breathtaking vistas, the freedom of trekking and the absence of normal day to day worries. We became like family, I would gladly welcome him to come to Alaska to go hiking with us here :) I have personally recommended Nepal Hiking Trek to everyone who has considered a trip to Nepal and eagerly await the chance to return to hike the Annapurna circuit!
