The Cho La Pass Trek Everest base camp features spectacular mountain passes, Everest Base Camp (EBC) and the fascinating culture of the Sherpa people. Unlike the classic EBC walk, we get to explore various glacial lakes and approach EBC via the challenging, yet spectacular Cho La Pass trek top (5,330 meters).
Following a flight to Lukla, we start our trek by crossing the Dudhkosi valley and then walk up steeply to the bustling Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar, where we spend an acclimatization day. The town, highly influenced by Tibetan Buddhism, has colourful monasteries, Chhortens and fluttering prayer flags. Reaching the Gokyo valley, we explore breathtaking glacial lakes. A short hike to the Gokyo Ri offers panoramas of glaciers and the snowy peaks of Mt. Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,516m), Makalu (8,481m), Cho Oyu (8,201m), and others.
The Cho La Pass trek is the most difficult section of the trek, and Nepal Hiking Trek fully supports you through this challenging stretch. After crossing the pass, we continue to Everest Base Camp. We descend through the main route of the EBC trek, including stops at Lobuche, Dingbuche, Khumjung, Phakding and finally the airport town of Lukla The best time for this trek is during the fall and spring.
Nepal Hiking Trek recommends that you include some extra days in your trip because flights out of Lukla can experience long delays and cancellations, even for cloud cover. For any queries, please feel free to contact us:

My wife and I went to Nepal in Nov. 2017. We spent about 21 days in this incredible country, being 14 days trekking in the Everest region.
Since my first contact with Hari (the owner of the company) I could see that this was not an ordinary trekking company. Hari was very dedicated in answering every single doubt in very short time. He would quickly adapt the requests for change in the circuit and sent us very competitive offers. At the end, we decided to go for our trip to Nepal with Nepal Hiking Trek team.
After all the chating and e-mails exchange, I was a little bit disapointed when Hari told us he would not be able to guide us. However, we met our guide (Raj) and he was just as dedicated as Hari. As some other coments here mentioned, we also did not have to worry about where we would be staying, what/if we would be having for meals, permits or any other deal. Even when we were in that crazyness that is the Kathmandu airport to get our flight to Lukla, we were confident that Raj would manage to get us in the plane.
Among all, we could notice that our guide (Raj) and our porter (Git) were outstanding! Even other groups that made friendship with us during the trek were impressed to see how these two guys were professional and, at the same time, friendly and dedicated. We felt very well supported during all the trekking days.
In the other days I could notice that the guides (for Kathmandu Valley and Chitwan National Park tour) were dedicated to provide a good experience.
At last, the dedication of the whole staff and their concern for providing good service were notorious.
Considering everything, we believe that we had an excellent support from the team of Nepal Hiking Trek and we would definitelly recomend you chose them as your guide service while visiting Nepal.
