Your Langtang Valley journey begins with an exciting drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. The day starts early. After breakfast, you head towards Syabrubesi which is our final destination for today. The ride usually begins around 7 in the morning.
Soon after you leave the city, the road moves through hills and green forests. You drive along the Pasang Lhamu Highway. As you move ahead, you pass many small towns and villages. The road climbs slowly and offers wide views of farmlands and deep valleys.
After a few hours, you reach Trishuli Bazaar. It is a perfect place to stop for lunch. This small town has local restaurants and shops. The air feels fresher here. From this point, the view gets better. If the weather is clear, you may see peaks like Ganesh Himal and Manaslu.
Next, the drive continues towards Dhunche. This is the gateway to Langtang National Park. At Dhunche, you will stop for a short break. Here, you must register your trekking permits. You might also see army personnel checking permits. The Mountain View from Dhunche is beautiful. Snow-covered peaks stand tall above the hills.
After Dhunche, the road gets narrower and bumpier. You pass through forests and steep hillsides. As the jeep moves slowly, you feel closer to nature. After a few hours, you reach Syabrubesi.
Syabrubesi is a quiet and lovely village near the border of China. It is the starting point of the Langtang Valley Trek. You may see large trucks coming from the border. These trucks carry goods between Nepal and China.
